Western Australia based artist Arabella Rose creates joyful and nostalgia-filled paintings and designs from her tiny studio in the enclosed front verandah of her 1920s cottage, in one of Perth’s oldest suburbs. Her work celebrates colour, pattern and memory inspired by the brightness of Perth sunshine, the unique vibrancy of our native florals, and the comforting textile designs you might have found in Nan’s linen cupboard as a child. When she isn’t painting, Arabella maintains a career in Organisational Psychology with WA’s major Paediatric Health Service, and enjoys gathering neighbourhood posies with her two young daughters.
